The Perfect Outdoor Proposal

Dallas, TX

Looking for some proposal ideas here in Dallas? There are so many amazing locations to plan a proposal, but nature just adds an element of wonder and a serene, intimate dynamic to make perfect surroundings. Here are some great outdoor ideas around town:

Weekend Getaway in Your City

Go on a small weekend getaway outside of town and stay in a treehouse or house that blends in with nature through Airbnb. I personally fell in love with this one! Check out their website for so many great outdoor lodge options and even activities you can book for the weekend.

Surround Yourselves in Nature

Go on a hike and at the Cedar Hill Preserve and be surrounded by nature. There are many great spots on the trails for an opportunity to be just the two of you. There’s a treehouse that overlooks the city and even a pond with a small dock that would both be great locations. cedar-hill-perserve-proposal

Make Gondola Reservations

Book a gondola and float the Las Colinas canal for a romantic experience that takes you to another place. Take some champagne, a wine and cheese board, and pop the question in the evening right before sunset.  Then you can enjoy the sunset together.

The Sky’s the Limit

If you two met in Dallas or were born and raised here then what better place than a skyline view of the city. The Statler or any rooftop place around time is sure to make a great spot, even the Rooftop Garden located at The Venue at 400 North Ervay street in Downtown is sure to make the cake. That venue is the perfect place for proposals, weddings, engagement parties, etc.

Secret Garden

Get a friend to help set up a picnic at your favorite botanical garden.

Dallas Arboretum or Japanese Garden in Ft. Worth are both gorgeous, serene locations and perfect for photos!japanese-garden-proposal

Sail Through the Sky

Sail through the sky on a hot air balloon ride north of Dallas. Get down on one knee while she’s captivated by the city views. For this one, you will need to see when the balloon Festival is and also keep in mind the weather. If it rains or is too windy they will not take off so you will need to have a backup plan.

Reach the Top

If you are an adventurous couple who enjoys doing activities, why not propose there? Put your relationship to the test and overcome the summit with a bang at a Summit Rock Climbing gym. It’s the perfect prize for reaching the top. Have your friends decorate the place or when she reaches the top you can have a sign or card up there asking to marry you!

Sunrise

Sunrise or sunsets are always a great time for proposals. Get cozy with a blanket, get some coffee, go for a nice walk or a place with the perfect sky view. Or propose with a bang and hire a firework show that will be unforgettable.
