Dallas, TX
Hot cocoa, twinkling lights, families gathered together celebrating the season and children smiling with joy. Siblings snuggling together in a teepee, babies meeting Santa for the first time and families joined around a fireplace showing their love for each other. Those are the images that come to mind as I reflect back on our first annual A Taste of Christmas Magic: A Time of Giving, held at The Cliff House.
It truly was a magical weekend and I had the joy of sharing it with dozens of families who came out to the event. We laughed together, the children got quality time with Santa, refreshments were enjoyed, beautiful family photos were captured and the kids took delight in creating crafts and writing letters to Santa.
Each session booked helped us be able to give back to an amazing organization in the Dallas area, the Genesis Women’s Shelter. I will be presenting them with a check on behalf of the event. It warms my heart to know that this event not only brought over 50 families together to celebrate Christmas, but also gave back to our community and will bless others in return. Thank you to everyone who was & is a part of that!
This event wouldn’t have happened without the help of our sponsors and vendors. Thank you to our venue host The Cliff House, our event coordinator Erica Verdiguel, photographers Demi & Dan, who helped me out that day and videographer Raul, for making the promo video for me. I also want to thank Cesareo Perez and The House of Beauty Queens for sponsoring the refreshments; as well as Kennedy of Kendra Scott, Vanesssa Perez and Jonathan Castro for helping me in the front desk and for making the ladder used on the Farmhouse set, & the Genesis Women’s Shelter.
Every family who attended the event made it special for me. We are so excited for next year that we’ve already started to talk through the planning for A Taste of Christmas Magic 2019. We hope you’ll be there to join us!
As Christmas approaches, remember that it’s the people in our lives and memories we make with them that matter the most. Cherish the moments that you’re given together and take in the magic of the season. Merry Christmas to you and your family and a Happy New Year!
