Guanajuato, MX
Alright so if you’ve been following my Instagram Stories you’ve seen I was just in Guanajuato, Mexico. I was there attending my two good friend’s, Cindy and Noel wedding! Guanajuato is one of the most beautiful places to live right now. Cindy’s family is originally from there and well having her dream wedding there was out of the question. Their ceremony took place at the heart of Guanajuato City at the Basílica Colegiata de Nuestra Señora de Guanajuato. It is one of the most beautiful cathedrals there. The most popular for sure. The reception took place at the Antigua Hacienda Dolores de Barrera, a 6-minute drive away from downtown. We took a party bus there and when the night was over they had taxi cabs waiting, ready to take us back. It was pretty neat.
Cindy and Noel actually met at my cousin Jonathan’s birthday party dinner at Gloria’s Restaurant. Noel went to high school with my cousin so I’ve known him for about 17 years now! Noel was my dancing partner when we would go salsa dancing, the one who would be on my team when we played some flag football, and till this day the one always trying to find me a partner in crime, haha! I love him. He is the kindest person I have ever known. He is always smiling and full of positive energy. He is definitely the light of the party!
Cindy, I have known for less time. I met her at a party where my cousin Jonathan was also involved, haha! She happened to be at that party and we became friends instantly! Cindy is also one of the kindest people I’ve met, who is always smiling and making sure her friends are taken care of. I love you, Cindy! So, our friendship began that night at that party and from that day on I would always invite her to parties. So, thanks to her accepting my invitation to come to my cousin’s birthday, it’s how I ended up in Guanajuato celebrating these two tying the knot! So, as you can see I was able to see how this love story began and I literally cried when I saw her walking down that aisle marrying one of my close friends.
Now let’s talk about them together! Let me start off by saying that if they are ever in the same building together, you will never get bored. They are so hilarious and simply perfect for each other. I also love how Noel is always making sure Cindy is taken care of. Whether they invited me over for dinner at their place or we are out eating tacos, Noel always makes sure everything at the table is set and Cindy has all she needs. It is so sweet! I never see them getting upset with each other and they respect each other, which is so important in order for a relationship to work.
The day of the wedding ran so smoothly. The weather was perfect, everything was so calm, everyone was so happy, and well organized. It was a gorgeous, simple, yet elegant wedding. The theme of their wedding was Mexican themed, with vibrant colors, and Mexican plates added a very nice rustic touch. Everything was organized by Antigua Hacienda Dolores de Barrera, which I think they did a pretty good job. I really wish I would have taken more pictures of that entire day, but I was only a guest, so I wanted to enjoy the party and catch with friends and family that I had not seen in awhile. I also only took my 85mm, so you’ll notice all my images are close up 🙂 and none are wide.
Dinner was delicious by the way! They had chile rellenos, tamales, guacamole, rice, beans, chicken, and so much I can’t even name it all. For dessert, they had flan, atole de arroz, and another delicious one I can’t think of.
During the dance floor, a taco stand also came by for us to have a late night snack. It was also an open bar all night! These guys definitely took good care of us!If you would like to see more from Cindy and Noel’s engagement, check out their engagement session here. To view more from their wedding stay tune, I’ll be posting the Callejoneada that took place the night before the wedding soon. It is a tradition they do there every night. It is super fun!
Cindy and Noel, this was by far a wedding I’ll never forget! Thank you so much for inviting me and for always being there for me. You guys are amazing and I wish you nothing but the best in life. Many blessing to you both!
